You're correct about that, which is why I was careful to say "more advanced and usable" ... no one can argue that Windows 3 outsold and eventually shut out just about everyone except Apple. I'm ashamed that I forgot to mention Amiga because that's what was on MY desk! I had an Amiga 1000 with a serial port connection to my multiuser unix machine (an Altos!). Thankfully I was eventually able to transition directly from Amiga to Linux without having an barely usable Windows machine in between.You forgot Amiga's Kickstart/Workbench which was better than any of those.
