Google tends to honour whatever instructions they receive from the countries they operate in... if any country raises a stink about the name, Google will call it whatever that country wants - for the users in that country. I suspect that most countries don't really care - so it will remain Gulf of America until Trump changes his mind (or the next regime revokes it).

He most certainly can't "fix it" after he fired the ones who were supposed to find solutions to deal with this crisis, stopped sharing important scientific data, stopped making weekly reports and stopped international health communications (I don't think I need to remind people that this isn't just an US issue).

You do know that the Oval Office House Plant Formerly Known As President Daddy-Daughter Inappropriate Incest Showers is an unindicted felon that is still on work release probation, right? A probation that Trump's new Attorney General could revoke at any time and indict him for the crimes that were found?
If we don't live in the USA we're supposed to not notice Biden's hand picked DoJ employee found 40+ years of serial felonies but chose not to indict his boss (there's a career ending move!), saying that his special Ouija Board had told him no jury would convict a well meaning elderly man for those 40 years of crimes. But those anonymous jurors whose minds he knew so well would at the same time trust Biden to remain in the White House, sharing the nuclear football with The Bagman Formerly Known As The Crackhead Kid.
