MSI and Asus increase Nvidia RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 prices by up to $400

Wow, who would have thought this would happen?

Seriously, I love my 7900 XTX. Got it second hand for a very hefty discount. I previously owned Nvidia cards for the most part of the last 25 years or so, my last AMD being a 7970 Ghz Edition. Apart from ray tracing, everything else is top shelf! Frame generation, rasterization performance etc.
Get a 5080 for a 4-6% performance uplift over the 7900 XTX? Nah, thanks!

Such a rise of prices is just a start. After the slap of Deepseek on the market, the stock will never get as high as it was. This is the price of the bubble... Finally, gamers pay the price of IA which they mostly are not interested in. So delicate from Nvidia...

And if we look at the performances of an IA engine like "Mistral AI", it has very effective results with way less powerfull machines.

Nvidia MUST expect a drawdown in its sales because it is possible to do more with less CPU/GPU power and less memory. They know it. They just are preparing for the schock.

So, to mitigate such existential problems for shareholders, Nvidia will be very agressive on commercial communications. They will emphasize on performances and ideas and will try to make appear some useless stuff for essential.
Anything they will say will have to be double checked... which --I convince-- should always be made that way.
